Now that we've seen the 2-1 in action, which format do you think is best?

There's no question that 1-1-1 is the optimal way to do a best-of-3 but, unless they go back to "Top 4 in each conference" versus "Top 8 overall," 1-2 is the least objectionable alternative.

Being that question is best not best with what is feasible, I went with 1-1-1. A team should have the advantage of home floor on the opening game and a winner take a all game.

The determination of "best" could include consideration of cost saving

This.
1-1-1 is more expensive, and to do it fairly it takes more time as well, but it's kind of sad that the WNBA is still in a phase of existence in which relatively minor negatives are enough to prevent the best format from being used.
It's also weird to me that people want to talk about charter flights during the regular season, which is an enormous expense increase, when the league isn't even doing a handful of playoff games right.

I voted 2-1 because of this. Optimally if cost is no issue, 1-1-1 is most fair. But cost IS an issue.

Same.
I have no issue with this format. All the top seeds advanced. The better teams won. The court didn't factor into the outcomes.

How much extra cost is the potential of one, maybe two more flights? After flying across the country for 4 months of regular season play, I'm skeptical that one additional road trip in the playoffs is anything more than a marginal cost at most.

With the nightmare that is commercial air travel right now, each time you use it is asking for trouble. Especially if you have a tight turnaround between games.

That's true given COVID. My point was just addressing cost. Hopefully (*knocks profusely on wood*) the travel issues we've seen this season with commercial airlines won't be as bad next year and beyond.

This is probably overly optimistic. The staffing issues, especially with trained pilots, aren't going to go away in a year. The general public is still behaving like cretins on a plane, which is going to continue to drive away flight attendants, and the whole country is dealing with open positions across all sectors and regions that they can't fill. This is not a good time to restaff an entire industry.
The flight disruptions due to extreme weather are likely to get worse as well.
Switching to charters make not make a difference because they're also suffering cancellations.
