Tough loss for Cyclones. Best wishes to Stephanie on a successful recovery.

ISU has now lost two of the three posts that were expected to cover the 5 for ISU, as Beatriz Jordao medically retired on 12/29 due to chronic leg problems. Here's hoping Morgan Kane stays healthy -- Kane and Jordao were ISU's post rotation last year, and Soares and Kane were ISU's post rotation this year (with Jordao fighting injuries).

HUGE loss. Tough to make up for that kind of production 'n defensive presence.

Gee, I guess they will have to develop Maggie Vick after all.

According to some sources, Virginia Cavaliers' Mir McLean had a season-ending knee injury. She was undercut from under by NC State's Jada Boyd and Mir could not stand and was taken out on a stretcher. She was leading scorer for the Cavaliers.

Thanks a lot, NC State.

The UConn curse is no longer satisfied just going after players who are currently enrolled at UConn, sheesh. Sage the entire damn NCAA at this point. Bring in an old priest, a young priest, an imam, a minyan, and a druid.

Former Vanderbilt player Amauri Williams (6'4 Fr C) has entered the transfer portal, apparently deciding not to wait for the official window.

Denae Carter (Mississippi State) suffered a torn meniscus last night. She suffered an ACL tear last season. Sending up prayers.

Dara Mabrey went down in the first few minutes of the UVA game. No official word yet (they're checking it out on Monday), but it looks like her knee. She came back and watched the game from the bench with crutches.

I think that we all knew this - Mabrey has torn ACL.

Ifunanya Nwachukwu (6'2 Sr F, Lagos, Nigeria) has entered her name into the transfer portal after two seasons with Missouri State. She previously played at Chipola State CC.

Maybe the ceilings are too low at Missouri State.

The portal doors should be swinging wide open about now.

If true, this is a big time transfer prospect.

"Source familiar with the situation tells @TheNextHoops Boston College sophomore Maria Gakdeng has entered the transfer portal. The 6'3 center was the Eagles' best player this year, averaging 11.3 pts, 6.5 reb, and 1.8 blk, after making the ACC All-Freshman team last season."

Could really help a lot of teams, but her loss is completely devastating to BC.

I expect she could really up her game if paired with a couple of top notch guards, and a coaching staff that knows how to develop, integrate and use her.

Pitt's Amber Brown has entered the portal. She has started every game in her three years at Pitt. A little surprised she's not waiting around to see who is hired as HC, unless perhaps she already has her destination deal worked out.

Reports are that 5'6" sophomore Cal guard and last year's PAC FOY Jayda Curry has entered the transfer portal. Was Cal's leading scorer this year.

Spotted on the WBB Blog transfer tracker that Kennedy Fauntleroy from Georgetown is in the portal. She was the Big East FOY.

Per Raoul, Fr. Gs Jada Walker and Kennedy Cambridge are both leaving Kentucky.

Also, 6’4 Fr F/C Lilly Stoddard is leaving Purdue, and So. F. Alanna Micheaux is transferring from Minnesota.

PG Taylor Valladay (Virginia, previous Marquette) entered the transfer portal. During the season, she was suspended for one game by Coach Mox. So this news is not surprising at all. Virginia will get two prized recruits in Kymora Johnson and Olivia McGhee.
