Kelsey Mitchell definitely should’ve been on the list, especially in place of Copper. I would have also included Nalyssa Smith and Alisha Gray ahead of her as well.

The Chicago Machine still works.

Yeah - vote early and often! Laughing

I was also surprised Kah made the list - sometimes these things become a popularity contest instead of being based on merit. Her numbers to date don't justify the selection, imo. Still, it's nice we will have decent representation in SkyTown for the game! Very Happy

And it will be easy for Allie to compete again in the 3-point contest unless she holds to her declaration that she planned to retire from the competition.

Natasha Cloud has been very vocal about not making AS, and rightly so.

Indeed, I wish A. Gray and K. Mitchell got nods because they deserve it for sure!

Cloud is a good one too... but the question always is, who do you replace them for?

And with that, Cloud has almost moved into #1 on whiniest player in the W. She is never happy, always complaining, super pressed about everything, and frankly, just obnoxious.

She doesn't deserve to be al All-Star.

Who are the stat leaders among the snubbed?

Scoring: Kelsey Mitchell, 4th in the league

Rebounding: NaLyssa Smith, 5th in the league

Assists: Natasha Cloud, 1st in the league

Steals: Brittney Sykes, 1st in the league

Blocks: Ezi Magbegor, 1st in the league

I know the Fever are in last place, but this is ridiculous.

Almost makes me wish I hadn't bought tickets to the game.

I'm not sure Copper is the weak link. I'd leave out Sue Bird. She hasn't exactly put up All Star numbers and her legacy will be unaffected by having one fewer appearance.

The biggest complainers are almost always the ones who voted the least.

Copper is the weakest link to me since she was selected by the coaches or whomever is responsible for selecting the reserves. Bird was a fan choice so there’s no getting around that one.

Now if this was entirely based on merit then Bird would definitely be lower.
I wouldn’t have ranked her ahead of the following guards

Plum
Young
Diggins
Sloot
Ionescu
Loyd
K Mitchell
A Gray
C Gray

Bird was voted in, so you can't do anything about that.

I'll see your Copper and add a Meesseman.

At halftime last night, Carolyn "Rah-Rah" Peck said the #1 snub was Diana Taurasi. How can you leave off Taurasi when it could possibly be her final season, she said.

Um, it should be about who's having the best year Carolyn. If you want to celebrate folks for longevity, that's what the Olympic team is for. (too soon?)

If she would have committed to it being her last season (like Bird and Fowles), then she probably wouldn’t have been left off. Although I am kinda surprised she was left off this year. Has she ever been left off before?

She’s tied for 10th in league for ppg at 16.6.

Is there anywhere to watch the selection special? I'm coming up empty looking in the usual places.
