Don’t give her any ideas. If she sees that, Loyd and Stewart will never get the ball again.

If it makes you feel any better, there's a greater than zero percent chance that only one of those two will be playing for Seattle twenty-three games from now.

Within the realm of possibility, but unlikely. Cloud is having a career year as a playmaker, and is still not particularly close to ten assists a game.

I make no claims as to the likelihood of any such mentions. The fastest any player has gone from 1000 to 2000 assists is 109 games by Courtney Vandersloot.

... And that's why she's the only rightful heir to Penicheiro, and the only true successor that shall be recognized.

Errrrm....there IS this kid named Sabrina.... Razz

I still think it's a travesty that CVS was not on the last Olympic team.

No, I’m actually with Silky on this one. Love Sabrina, but she’s not the pure playmaker Vandersloot is. If there’s a contender to the throne other than Vandersloot, it’s Chelsea Gray. Sabrina calls her own number way too much to be the heiress to Penicheiro.

(With Gray’s nickname of the Point Gawd and Vandersloot sometimes called the Point Goddess, I’ve kind of been noodling around with an Ares vs. Athena comparison, with Gray’s physicality contrasted to Vandersloot’s more long-range propensities, but I can’t completely pull it together.)

As to why and how she got left off the national team... well, we all know who’s been cock-blocking point guards to the point they take other countries' basketball citizenship, but I don’t want to be in an Alfred Hitchcock film tonight.

By the time of the last Olympics, Vandersloot was already long Hungarian and therefore ineligible. Would've needed to use her much sooner than that.

Maybe not YET. Razz

In her first three seasons,Vandersloot wasn't the playmaker that Vandersloot is now: obviously, the experience and dedication have served her well.

Sabrina's season stats are significantly superior to Courtney's when comparing each player's first three seasons. Of course, many other intangibles factor into the creation and development of any Playmaker, but I have every faith that Sabrina WILL be among the finest of the Elites, as will Vandersloot, Gray, SDS, et.al., till all is said and done. Cool

I know it doesn't necessarily fit the format, but Congrats to Kelsey Plum for becoming just the second player in WNBA History to make 100 or more threes in a season.

To best Diana's 121 KP needs 22 threes over her last four games.

Sloot definitely should've been on Team USA, but I won't beat that dead you know what today
