She went back to school at Wake Forest after getting a bachelors at South Carolina and got law and MBA degrees. She was Miss USA 2019 and ran track at South Carolina. She had been a practicing attorney but I don't know if she continued to practice law after being hired as an Extra entertainment TV show correspondent (2 daytime Emmy nominations) which she did from 2019 till her death. And then at age 30 she committed suicide. Sad. Have to wonder if there was some specific issue that happened in her life that might have faded over time, or if some kind of counseling could have helped change her pain.

Bill Fitch was the first coach I can remember being a fan of. Probably because he coached the Celtics when I first got into basketball. Of course, I also wrote a letter defending him that got published in Basketball Digest when he was coaching New Jersey and had that run in with Kenny Anderson.
Always just liked the guy, so definitely was a sad bit of news to wake up to on the morning newscast today. |

Ivan Reitman, director, 75. Sorry, I don’t know how to post links from my phone._________________ If you cannot inspire yourself to read a book about women's basketball, or any book about women's sports, you cannot inspire any young girl or boy to write a book about them. http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/Richardstrek

Yeah, I do. But posting links from it is something I have yet to learn. The links I see seem generic and look as if they won't direct others to the story I'm trying to link to. I'd rather post to Rebkell from my computer than my phone.

So many names from my youth keep popping up here. It has become sort of a strange experience in the context of everything else that's going on.
You grow up fantasizing about people and the next thing you know they're dead at 80. What am I supposed to do with that?_________________ Every woman who has ever been presented with a career/sex quid pro quo in the entertainment industry should come forward and simply say, “Me, too.” - jammer The New York Times 10/10/17 |
