Hrm game had to be stopped a bit because of one clock being on 15:54 the other on 14:54 and some leaks in the roof. O_O |
That's OK. Napier has all kinds of experience with clock issues. Too bad it's not GOOD experience!!

It's only been 5 minutes. Why is Appel so gassed? |

22-16 Stanford. UConn having some offensive struggles (surprise, surprise), and Stanford is doing a good job of keeping the Huskies off the O boards. Dixon in for UConn after Swanier picked up her 2nd foul.

I'm surprised that Gardler is in. Dixon almost has to be in with Swanier having foul trouble if only to spell some of the guards (it is early in the game). I wonder if Gardler is there to fire up the other guard starters? |

Probably. Renee isn't doing that well, Ketia's in foul trouble.
I think Geno is sending a message -- "I don't care if this is the Final Four, if you suck, your ass belongs on the bench. If you want to play you need to show up."

UConn's shot selection is leaving something to be desired, especially since Appel has been showing trouble keeping up with UConn's post players.

There we go, Maya's first points.
Hope she wakes up and plays better.

Wow! Nice shot, Maya. Pure luck, I have to say.
Nice offensive rebounding by UConn.

While they're lauding Moore for being just a freshman, so is Pederson. I wish they'd push it more for a great freshman class this year. |

Dixon has been pretty solid in her stint for Swanier.

She's just barrelling into people and I've seen her go over the back at least twice by now...

No. People are just slow to get in position. For example, if Swanier had actually stopped a bit before Pederson instead of trying to be -right- next to her, she would have gotten the call because there would have been space and Pederson would have kept going.
Any time you get the ball, you keep going. It's when you -stop- that you get in trouble anyway.
I haven't really seen any over the back other than the usual scrumming for rebounds. |
