I'm not a UConn fan nor a Geno fan, but that scene with Geno, Hartley, and Dolson was just great. He cares about his kids.

Congrats to UConn and their fans.

Also, THANK YOU ESPN for making this game about the players currently on the teams, and not the one(s) who already graduated...

UConn players also regularly come back to Storrs and support the program. I think that says a lot about Geno as well.

Dolson is funny, she actually would be perfect on the Lynx, too bad.

Congrats to UConn!! Great game by them. Very very complete.

Wonder what the game would have looked like if Achonwa was playing.

sooooo happy about a championship win over notre dame... BUT

the UConn/Notre Dame - Muffet/Geno rivalry still has nothing on this:

I agree. I think her intensity would have been a boost for ND and maybe she could have limited Dolson some, but they still would not have had an answer for Stewart.

Jewel was going to have to be a huge factor in this game, and unfortunately she wasn't.

I've always wondered why they don't have some sort of ceremonial scissors to cut down the nets, instead of just using some 50-cent pair that they got at Office Max.. Idea

I see. They named Dolson for 'best performance' or something like that. Oh, well, I was right originally that no matter what, Stewie would get it.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not really bothered by Doris or even Carolyn Peck...at least not enough to go on a message board/twitter tirade!

I'm thinking a samurai sword would be perfect...but they probably couldn't get it through security.

Doris is maddening because she's so opinionated you find yourself focusing more on what she's saying than what's going on in the game.

If UCONN makes it to the Final Four again next year I will make it my business not to watch. Not because I hate UCONN but I am just tired of the blowouts. There is no suspense or mystery when a team plays UCONN. Everyone knows what the outcome will be. I should have gone out and watch that Winter Soldier movie tonight. Rolling Eyes

I've never seen Geno like that, it made me tear up a bit. Laughing

I'm gonna miss Bria Hartley in particular. She's in my top 5 of favorite Huskies of all time. Tough kid. I'll definitely miss watching her. It's too bad she had a rough night as her last game.

But Uconn won anyway. Smile

Actually, I think the scissors are sponsored - they mentioned Fiskars as an official supplier to the NCAA on the screen in the arena.

The ladders also are sponsored, both for the NCAA and the WNIT.
