No way does Anosike get it. While her rebounding is a nice stat, most of the balls she's rebounded have flown right to her. Hell, I'd give Auguste the MOP before Anosike.

and she can't make a free throw!
Shocked

That was one of the worst free throws I have ever saw, she just heaved it at the basket like she was shooting from midcourt.

It was like an Ashley Robinson flashback.

This has got to be the worst beat down on the boards that I have ever seen. My goodness.

And this from what Summitt feels is her worst rebounding team.

The toss up to me is between Bobbit and Anosike. Without Anosikes 10 offensive boards and 16 overall and her straight out hustle Tennessee would have lost this game. P.S yes i am a uconn fan at heart but Anosike has made me a fan of her's after tonight.

I said it from early in the game when Vols were getting a lot of rebounds off both boards that this would most likely give them the win, and the way RU is getting better offensively and dropping some good buckets in.

I've been more of a Bobbitt fan, but like you she is impressing me (except that free throw).

Congratulations to Tennessee on National Championship #7 Smile . You had a great season & this was a fitting reward for your performance during the regular & NCAA seasons. Enjoy it Very Happy !!!

Rutgers...you tried hard & had a great run. All of you are coming back, so I'm not worried about the Scarlet Knights. You all might want to practice your rebounding skills, however Wink .

Agreed. CP3 had a solid Final Four & they obviously wouldn't have won without her, but MOP should've gone to either Bobbitt or Anosike ahead of her. Still, congrats to Candace & the rest of the Lady Vols.

Anosike did have a great rebounding game, but come on. She was rebounding against a VERY UNDERSIZED Rutgers front line. Impressive, but not THAT impressive, IMHO.

Rutgers found out the hard way that a guard-dominated offense can only carry a team so far. When Ajavon and Carson couldn't set the tone and tried to force things, it didn't work. They found out that they should've milked Vaughn from the beginning of the season. Hopefully CVS will figure that out soon.

Holy crap! Did Pat stop her team from cheering at midcourt? Shocked C'mon, Pat. This ain't "business as usual". Laughing

Having said all this, congrats to both teams for getting this far and congrats to Tennessee for ending the drought.

Yeah, she towered over those men like she would tower over me. Although it looks suspiciously like they found their shortest employees.
