Yes Stanford is that good, actually they are better and GA is not "that bad" Stanford just makes them look that bad and it is Stanford that tires them out. (If GA were winning they would look fresh)
Stanford just took House out of the game and prevented GA from doing what they wanted

Yes, that does seem like it was the game plan.
Although I think it all comes back to A.) Stanford is that good

As it related to yesterday's game, the answer is that Georgia was that bad. Houts threw up a few airballs early on when there was no discernable defense. In all, I believe Georgia had double digit airballs and that was not due to smothering defense. Stanford did an excellent job of controlling the paint and not allowing second shots, but if Georgia had been able to hit some of those open J's, they could have stayed within 20.

The travel issue is debatable. Georgia is a school that rarely ventures outside of the southeast so a cross-country trip is not in their comfort zone. The time of the game (9pm eastern) shouldn't have been a problem but perhaps they didn't feel comfortable being surrounded by those Golden State liberals.
