I never get why WBB has to have the same crowds as the men to be considered a success--it's still drawing more fans than practically every other collegiate sport.

Agreed, it's because they're the same sport...even with Maloof fucking over the Monarchs, the W is ahead of the NBA at year 13. But Noooo we have to compare to a sport 75 years ahead of the curve when it comes to building fanbases...don't ask I don't get it either.

I think the issue is less the size of the crowds than the amount of profit and loss.

If you go by percentages I believe we're ahead of the NBA at the same time and i KNOW they had just as many folds and relocations. (I brought that up more than once when the Comets were in trouble given the Lakers)
