green bay 34-29 at half thanks to free throw-line buzzer beater! phoenix also were up by 9 or 10 a couple times in the first.

i've never seen isu shoot as poorly as they have tonight. 33.3 percent from the field, and only 3-of-13 from 3

Iowa State fans cheered for UWGB to beat UVA because they thought they'd have an easier time with UWGB. Be careful what you wish for, clowns.

Horrible basketball outside of UWGB's defense. I imagine this game is what a lesbian-less WNBA would resemble.

How in the figg did she get that pass through? Shocked

This UWGB team is pretty good. They execute well, but they are a bore to watch.

They also can't handle pressure, as we saw at the end of the Virginia game. But Iowa State is not a pressure team, so UWGB should be able to stay in this thing as long as their shots fall.

EDIT: Iowa State isn't even pressing and GB is still turning the ball over like crazy.

As bad as it has played offensively in the second half, UWGB couldn't have asked for more than this.

And the Phoenix again get stupid and turn the ball over. They've flat-out given this game away.

The Green Bay players have to be feeling sick to their stomaches. They had a chance to get to the Sweet 16 out of a midmajor league and couldn't protect the ball.

ISU really struggled in this game, didn't lead until midway in the second half, shot as poorly as they have all season, and were in a position where GB could have won it at the very end of the game.

Instead, they made the sweet 16.

Were they supposed to be sad?

I... thought there was a force-out on the possession that led to the GB turnover and the FTs that gave Iowa State the three-point lead. But, since Green Bay couldn't get a goddamn inbounds to a player in a green uni for love nor money, it would appear to be a moot point.

I like Lacey (and I think she's still not 100% back yet).

But Bill Fennelly is annoying.

I don't think she's even 70% She looked nothing like herself out there. But she gutted it out for 36 minutes.

Hehe...he reminds me of a dorky little leprechaun! Laughing HOWEVER, I do believe he coaches rather well, even if tonight's game wasn't a career highlight for him.

I reeeeeally liked those Nice Wisconsin Gerlz. Seriously, I thought they played with real class, and they've got a bright future.

When Barbie ball is boring...

Thankfully, Gonzaga is still in the tournament--and actually looks like a real team!

The 3-ball that the UWGB post hit for the corner towards the end of the game reminded me so much of AAU Barbie ball, I just had to chuckle.
