Nebraska only up 13 at halftime on #16 Northern Iowa.
Did the Big 12 Tourney loss pop Nebraska's balloon?

I think they got better. Which was good, because I was screaming at them to SHUT UP about the UNI men beating Kansas "and can the women beat a #1 seed too?"

Nebraska wins 83-70. 22 pts for Dominique Kelley and 18 & 14 for Griffin.
Nebraska again played a mediocre first half before turning it on in the second half. They're not going to be able to get away with this going forward.

Tough night for the Bruins. Nebraska's experience and tenacity over powered them. Couple that with too many turnovers and foul trouble, did them in. But that's ok. They had a great season, accomplished more then anyone expected and are only losing one player who matters. They will be back in 2011.
GO BRUINS!

I think the Bruins got under-seeded by the committee. They were #22 in the polls (and rising at the time) you'd think that would get you at least a six seed.
But anyway great season for the Bruins, and they'll definitely be back next year.

When they were up 15-7 their offense stalled, just couldn't put points on the board. Then when Dixon & Walker both picked up 2 fouls at about the 10 min mark, you could see the Bruins body language change, slupped shoulders, heads down and that was all the Cornhuskers needed see. Took finally scoring a basket to get UCLA to snap out of it.
Re NE they did seem to be a bit sluggish to start. Griffin had a tough 1st half. Double & triple teams made it tough for her. Most of her points came off free-throw I believe. But she and the team picked it up in the 2nd half.
All & all UCLA kept fighting and pushed the Huskers every now & then. Bruin fans have a lot to look forward too. Best of luck in the future.
