The last time the tourney was in KC, OU was SHOCKED in the first round losing to the lowly Missouri Tigers. It was the first game in the first session. At the break, a group of us, including a bunch of Sooners, a couple of Baylor, Nebraska, Colorado and Tech fans all gathered to eat. Gary Blair was there. He came right over and commiserated with us Sooners. He was sympathetic, encouraging and tried to make us all feel better. Of course, all our friends with us had been very supportive of us, but they were our friends. Gary took it upon himself to come over and be friendly.

That was just a class thing to do. He is just a down home good ole kuntry boy. He was so gracious to us. It made me like him alot.

When they were in Berkeley earlier this season I enjoyed them very much. He seems like a great coach and the fans and players were classy kids....

Wish 'em the best of luck in the tourney...
