She will finish out the season. She gave a very classy statement about coaching at Missouri. It was time for her to go but I wish her luck in whatever she does next.

She's had a tough row to hoe. Good luck to her AND Mizzou in the future!

Good for her, and to be fair with Injuries and the Cheerleader Fiasco she never had time to prove herself. Very class act and should land as an assistant somewhere. I figure with the arena there and the sheer depth of the Big 12 that Mizzou will go big...Truman doesn't have a terrible team, but it could use a shakeup.

Voepel weighs in - http://voepel.wordpress.com/2010/03/02/thinking-about-whats-next-for-missouri/
Okay, early names? Who would be a big splash?
Cheryl Burnett (think about it)
Joanne McCallie (dream about it)
Brian Agler
Mickie DeMoss
Kyra Elzy (hot assisstant after Kentucky's season)
Niele Ivey (is she ready?)
Elaine Elliot (would she do it? more stress than she has at Utah)
MaChelle Joseph (has she taken Georgia Tech as far as she can?)
WHO?

After Burnett's crash and burn at Michigan, she's probably not high on the list. I doubt she wants to get back into coaching anyway.
What's Rick Mahorn doing these days...

McFerrin is the rumor I keep hearing, but Interesting Voepel doesn't mention it, which I'll trust Voepel over some Twitter bloggers any day of the week.

McFerrin is not a bad choice at all - really like it, in fact. She's an '83 Mizzou alum, no?

Stein was in trouble a few years ago when Yvonne Anderson, the daughter of the Missouri men's coach and a top player in the state, picked Texas over Missouri.

Mickie DeMoss would be great. For some reason, I don't think she will take it. She didn't stay at Kentucky long.

That was a huge recruiting loss, as well as Danielle Adams not qualifying and going JUCO and eventually Texas A&M; Stein and her staff also missed out on some great Kansas City talent which hurt, as did Scheer to Duke and Hartung to Texas. Her last "major" recruit was Shakara Jones out of St. Louis and that was several years ago.
Never good when the best in-state talent consistently goes elsewhere.
