I don't know about Slovy, but the Tigers are the only purple and gold team I love.

I would NOT want to be a SEC coach and have to deal with 3 more years of Sylvia Fowles! The kid is gonna' be a monster. |

dts...sorry, I meant jersey number...what number is on her jersey and what is the significance of that choice? I have an idea (see "The Puppy"), but am just curious as these number choices can make some great stories.

Actually she doesn't like 13.
Her number on this team is 24. They gave us numbered shirts, and she scoffed up that one because of Tamika.
Her AAU number last year was 20, after Alana, but I will qualify that with
this year's requested number - 3 (guess who?) - was given out already to an older kid.

Good for her, being so flexible. I like the Tamika influence, too.
Also, meanwhile back at the topic of this thread...Fowles is a monster. Those blocks last night were as strong as any I have seen a woman make...and I mean up there with Lauren, Lisa and Michelle. What a team and isn't the Tournament going to be fun to watch this year?
Is it still February???

d...
You have to remember that not too many guards can set up a slam dunk in the women's game. I once saw Swoopes set Snow up during pre-game warm ups and the place went crazy. It wasn't no dink-ity-do-dah, caress the rim kind of dunk, either.
I am thinking Miss Fowles can really throw it down...and whose dunk would you rather be on the under side of...Fowles or Parker, Miss Pretty in Pink? I think I am getting out of the way if Fowles goes up, lest I lose an ear or have another part of my anatomy ripped off from the aftermath.
Snow is looking to dunk this year...I have been watching for it since 2002! I just wish she would bring it. Bring one up all the way from the floor and hang on the rim with a big scream at the end so we can see her red mouth guard....YEAH, BABY!!
I must admit that I would not prefer for the women's game to become an "above the rim" experience all the time, but every once in a while would create lots of excitement because you wouldn't know when the next one would happen.

Being from CT and somewhat anti-Tenn (don't like, but respect a whole lot), I just thought it would have been an emphatic exclamation point if Fowles could have thrown one down. As is the game was on Sports Center and got coverage, but, it sure would have been a lot more if she had!

Well said (both of you)
A dunk once in a while is good for exposure and a lot of fun.
Keila Beecham, who's playing for the Blaze can dunk - she almost got one when I was there last weekend.

The Blaze is doing pretty well huh?
Why does no W team give Kim Williams a look see again? Age?

"I don't know what I'm talking about" Anne Myers
I LOVE IT...it was tiresome to listen to her last night and to think that she was seriously considered for the Commissioner's position in the W.
She was a great player, but Lord have mercy when you have to listen to her.

They had a play set up for her to dunk. When she went to the top of the key and fake like she was getting the ball and ran down the lane and ran someone was in her way.
