Wow...she did a good job at BC. But I think she knows she will never top Duke or UNC in the ACC. I wonder if Brown will stay now?

Most of the time, though, coaches don't resign from one job if they've got another -- it's announced as a lateral move.
This is very odd. Why would Inglese just leave a young team coming off a very good year? Hopefully, it's not a health issue ... and hopefully, it's not some scandal being swept under the rug.

Well, I for one hope she's not being considered for the UCLA job. After 15 years, you would think she would've made headways in the ACC. Clearly, she does not have the ability to move beyond the middle of the pack.

Inglese is an excellent X's and O's coach. She is a major upgrade over Olivier and would probably be the second-best (no offense, Joanne or June) in the Pac 10 if the UCLA job came to pass.
Somehow, though, I don't think she's leaving for the UCLA job. I want to hear what Bballfan says about this one...

Please tell me you're joking, and you know that BC has only been in the ACC for a short time. She was extremely successful in the Big East.
That said, her style of game does seem more Big East than ACC. I think she'd do fine in the Pac 10 though.

I doubt she's going to UCLA. Usually when that happens (as someone already said), the new job is announced first. You don't see people resign and then two days later take a job; they take a new job and simultaneously resign.
This is odd.

This just flat out sucks.
The team is up and coming and I'm looking forward to following the current sophomore and freshman players over the rest of their college careers.
I was hoping to see Inglese guide them to big things. |

She was never happy about the move to the ACC, for a variety of reasons, including the extra travel - the nearest ACC school is Maryland - and maybe the style of play. Maybe she just got tired of it.

maybe she was tired of working for a school w/ lie-straight-to-your-face priests.

Whatever the reasoning, all the best to Coach Inglese. She always seemed like a classy lady. I thought she did a pretty good job with what she had to work with.

Is something funny going on at BC? First Darsch leaves, now Inglese? While the moves might make sense individually, together they don't look so good.

Maybe she'll sit out for a year and take the Oregon job.
