they wore green as far back as the 90s for sure, just not that specific uniform. the poster from the 2001 championship has several of the players wearing green though. they're just a slightly different style.

Notre Dame did a lot better than I thought they would. They just couldn't make enough shots, and Tennessee's big run to start the second half was way too much to overcome.

On to the Elite 8.....

That's where two of those TO's in the first half to retain possession may have cost them the game.

I remember at the 2001 banquet that the seniors were given their green jerseys framed.

I remember them before that but couldn't tell you exactly when.

I LOVE the white jerseys with the green and blue trim. Someone hit a length-of-the-court shot with those.

ND burning up their timeouts... this could be costly. They only have one left.

That's just wast I was coming to post.

I think that two of them have been to keep control of the ball.

I'm not a big fan of calling to's to keep control of the ball for this reason and I thought about that in this game when ND did that. I know in some cases it can make a difference to keep control of the ball but I think it's used too much and burns timeouts for a lot of teams.

Maybe late in the 2nd half, but in the first half...I agree with you.

I wanted CP3 to throw one down against ND! I guess she's saving it for UConn! Wouldn't it be great to have Maya and Candace trading dunks? Very Happy
