I see ESPN is scheduled to televise the Giants at Dodgers game at 4p eastern time and the first regional final is scheduled for 7:30p eastern. Considering that baseball games can move rather slowly and sometimes go extra innings, it's not a given that game will be over by 7:30p. I'll be mad if I miss some of the basketball game b/c of the baseball game. At least it's not likely to be raining in LA - lots of games in rain delays or postponed today (Yankees-Blue Jays was postponed).

Unless they go into extra innings we should be fine. The average baseball game lasts about 3 hours.

NL games are a little shorter than AL games on average, to boot, thanks to the lack of the DH.

Oh yes I'm well aware of that average but I've seen my share of games that drag on beyond 3 hours. As bek said and I thought of after I posted at least this is an NL game as opposed to an AL game which usually last longer. And at least the Dodgers have a 4 run lead now in the top of the 5th.

If this happens, I will be angry. I do not want to miss any part of the game.

I was just going to come on here and post that it's the bottom of the 8th and there shouldn't be a bottom of the 9th with the 5 run Dodgers lead so the baseball game should be over in plenty of time. As usual, it looks like I was worrying for nothing Smile.

The baseball game is over now - luckily they didn't have the basketball games starting until 7:30p - the baseball game didn't end by 7p.
