I agree that's a fair comparison. I'm curious why you chose this year to add it. Last year no men's seed lower than six made the S16 while the women had two 7s, a 10, and a 13.

Didn't think about analyzing it this way, but thought about it after re-reading your post.

OK. Over the long run I don't think we'll see much difference in the number of Cinderellas in the S16.
OTOH, over the last 10 years the men's tournament has seen 23 10+ seeds make the S16 while the women have seen 8. Six #1 men's seeds have missed the S16 in that time frame compared to three women's #1s.
