Sloppy Rutgers Hangs On To Beat Notre Dame

PISCATAWAY, NJ - Looking to settle down after the week-long spectacle surrounding their debatable loss to Tennessee, the No. 5/4 Rutgers Scarlet Knights bounced back nicely last Saturday with a ransacking of the lowly University of South Florida Bulls. Rutgers shot a smoking hot 61.9 percent from the field -- their best outing this season -- and their bench, comprised of just four players, logged 31 points compared to the four scored by USF’s non-starters.
The Scarlet Knights even received eight first-place votes in the AP Top-25 poll released on Monday. But in the first half of their 57-51 victory over BIG EAST rival No. 14/14 Notre Dame on Tuesday night, RU looked more like one of the nation’s best Division II teams than the National Championship runner-up. --- READ MORE ----
