No, no, not a steel cage match, although in years past that wouldn't have seemed too unlikely.

I just happened to be looking at the prediction threads on each board and noticed that the UConn fans pretty much are predicting a UConn blowout and the RU fans are predicting a close win or a loss. This is a pretty consistent thing, actually - you almost could copy the prediction threads for any RU-UConn game onto their respective boards and not be able to tell the difference. (Even the point totals are pretty similar from game to game.) That made me think of the differences between the two boards and, therefore, the following:

This is for people who find themselves on one message board or the other and arent sure which it is. Look for these telltale comments to know for sure.

Following a road loss to a ranked team:

We stink and were never going to win another game. RU board

This is a good loss and guarantees well win the national championship. Boneyard

Pre-game predictions for RU-UConn:

UConn by 20, and probably more. Boneyard

Im going to predict RU by 3, but I really think it will be UConn by 20. RU board

Describing Epiphanny Prince:

Piph!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RU board

#$%$#!$%$% Boneyard

Responding to the Rutgers 55 press:

Great intensity. Did you notice [some reference to the number 55]? RU board

Foul! Why wont you call the foul??!!?! Boneyard

Poll question on Geno Auriemma:

God or mere demigod? Boneyard

Demon spawn or evil mutant? RU board

Poll question on C. Vivian Stringer:

"Earth goddess or great defensive coach who can't get her team to score?" - Rutgers board

"Annoying gnat or genuine irritant?" - Boneyard

Effect of a UConn win over RU on seeding:

Were the #1 #1. Boneyard

Now the Committee will give us a #4 and have us play on the #5 teams home court. RU board

Effect of an RU win over UConn on seeding:

Were still the #1 #1. Boneyard

The Committee will still find a way to give us a #4 and have us play on the #5 teams home court. RU board

Before any RU-Tennessee game:

Im going to predict RU by 3, but I really think Tennessee will win by 20. Rutgers board

Any chance a tornado will wipe out both teams? - Boneyard

Before any UConn-Tennessee game

UConn by 20 unless Pats paid off the refs. Boneyard

We should root for UConn, but were going to wear a little orange that night. - Rutgers board

Discussing the referees before any RU-UConn game:

I sure hope they dont assign [name of referee]. He/she grew up in/vacations in/inexplicably likes New Jersey. Boneyard

I sure hope they dont assign [name of referee]. He/she is married to Genos brothers business partner's sister-in-law/is from Philadelphia and always eats Genos cheesesteaks/inexplicably likes Connecticut. RU board

Discussing referees after any game:

They missed ten calls against the other team and called all the touch fouls against us. Boneyard

They missed ten calls against the other team and called all the touch fouls against us. RU board

I guess that one doesnt work.
