Sarah Pfeifer laughs when she remembers huddling with the other four members of her recruiting class, all of them battling a case of freshman blues just weeks into their first semester at Arkansas. "One night we sat in a dorm room and decided that we were all just going to leave and go home," Pfeifer said, "that we'd had enough."

Nearly 5 1/ 2 years, 4 major surgeries and 30-plus teammates later, Pfeifer is still here. A rare sixth-year senior, Pfeifer will lead Arkansas into Auburn at 2 p.m. Central today in the regular-season finale, closing one of the final chapters of her storied career.

"She's the kid that exemplifies what it's like to be a Lady Razorback more so than any other player in the history of the program," Arkansas Coach Tom Collen said. "That'll be her legacy, and that's a pretty good legacy."
