The Wildcats lead at the half, 38-28.

OU guard Jenna Plumley (that's her in the avatar) left the game after colliding with teammate Danielle Robinson. D got a big lump over her eye, while Jenna suffered a 1.5 inch cut over hers. She left the game, streaming blood, but got stitched up and returned after the halftime break. She's tough, all right. And BTW, Jenna, clearly addled, tied up the ball with a Kansas State player AFTER colliding with Danielle.

Sooners now lead by one, 46-45, with 12:50 to go.

Jenna's injury seemed to deflate the Sooners. But now that she's back in the game, and has hit TWO 3-pters since returning, they're playing well again.

OU leads, 50-45 with 10:33 to go. OU PG Danielle Robinson's on the bench with 4 fouls. With Jenna at the point, the Sooners are clicking.

tag3, are you watching this?

K-State radio is saying that charge on Dietz was BS.

They also said Plumley is shutting Dietz down!

I wish you could too, Krush. What a battle!

Sooners made a surprising turnaround in this one. Started out very flat-footed, while a crisp KSU cruised. But when Jenna came back in the second half, and scored the first points of the second half (with those fresh stitches in her brow still smarting, I'm sure), OU woke up and made it a horserace from there on.

Sooners win **whew!!** 68-65.

Nice win by the Sooners

Jenna did a really good job on Dietz. Denying her the ball not getting caught up on screens.

OU had a much better 2nd half taking care of the ball a little better, rebounding and taking better shots.

KState did a good job in the first half but suffered to score in the second (at one pt they were 6-1Cool which allowed OU to set the tempo in the 2nd half. Really like Lehning's game also.

Here's a recap, which contains the link for the box score:

Agreed, CalBear, Lehning is a tough, hard-working player, with great focus. I've always been a Gipson fan, too.

CP had 27 pts, 10 rebounds for her 85th CONSECUTIVE double-double. And OU fans will especially appreciate this: CP went 7-8 from the foul line. But she made it tough on herself with 6 TOs on the night

Jenna wound up with 11 pts, 3 assists, and even a couple of rebounds (which for 5'2" is something to brag about).

Ashley Sweat lead KSU with 25 pts. OU can be proud of holding the talented Kimberly Dietz to 2-11 from the field, 9 points total.

So what's the bigger story here? That OU won a close one on the road, or that KSU scored over 50 points?

Yeah, I kinda like both teams. I swear, the Big-12 is coming down to the wire. It'll be interesting to see who actually wins the regular season and the tourney.

K-State (10-2) certainly has the easiest road (Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri, and Kansas). They ought to be able to finish without another loss.

Oklahoma (9-3) still has to play OSU, Tech, A&M, & Colorado.
OSU (9-3) gets OU, A&M, Tech, and Baylor.
Baylor (10-2) plays Iowa State, Colorado, A&M, and OSU.

We were talking about that, just today. Both crowns truly are up for grabs.

Big props to Plumley for getting smashed in the face(needing stitches later) and still diving on the floor to try and get the ball. Tough girl...

Sweat is a talented offensive player, but needs to rebound better for 6 foot 2. She is just a soph though right?

Oklahoma hung tough in the first half, they could have wilted

The big momentum change occured with like a minute or 2 left in the first, I believe KState had a 10 or 11 point lead, Dietz shot a 3 that went in and out, like 99% down, but bounced out...Oklahoma then got the rebound and got a fastbreak basket. Lead went from possibly 13, to 8 in the blink of an eye.
