It's early but something to keep me occupied while I wait for the rest of the schedules to come out...

THE 2007-08 STANFORD CARDINAL
STRENGTHS
• The Candice factor ... SR G Candice Wiggins can single-handedly turn a game around and has done so on many occasions (ask the rest of the Conference) ... A two-time Pac-10 Player of the Year and certainly the league's most decorated returning player, she fought through a couple of injuries last season to still score 16.9 ppg, ranking sixth in the Pac-10 ... This is her last NCAA title shot, so look for Wiggins to leave it all on the floor.
CONCERNS
• Is there a monkey? ... Things certainly didn't end the way the Cardinal had hoped last year as they bowed out in the second round of the NCAA Tournament ... Could a shake-up in the coaching ranks usher in a renewed sense of urgency?

Thanks for posting the link. I didn't know Ironmonger joined her fellow AIS classmate Manou at Oregon. While Manou is raw and has some potential, sadly Ironmonger is not a particularly useful player. |

Wow, the Pac-10 is on top of things.
None of the Big Ten teams have even announced a schedule.
I'm really hoping USC can make some noise. Doesn't Arizona have two sets of twins? And aren't they all post players? It's surprising that their concern is post related.

It shouldn't be a surprise - Bonvicinni hasn't been able to pull any quality bigs to Tucson in a long time, not since Polk arrived on campus five years ago. Guard play has been the Wildcats' relative strength the last few seasons.

Hey Keegan, I know she's not an Aussie, but any thoughts on the Tall Fern (Jess McCormack) headed the UW's way?

Allegedly quite promising - I haven't seen her play though. Has quite a few people in NZ excited (it's NZ WBB though - Angela "what the hell is shot selection" Marino gets them excited ) |

Watched her play at the U18 Oz nationals, promising, but a long way to go. The other good bigs there ala, Francis, Tolo, Harper, Brentnall, etc etc had no problems on either end of the floor with her. For Keegan, I would have even put Ironmonger ahead of her.
Having said that, she has good height, is athletic, runs the floor well.
