From the article:
A 5-foot-9 guard, Higgins has had to adapt since she arrived at Oklahoma in the immediate wake of Dales and Caufield. In her debut, she scored 18 points to lead the Sooners in a loss to Tennessee that was Oklahoma's first post-Final Four game.

Less than three weeks later, she felt a pop in her right knee and fell to the floor during a November 2002 shootaround. Even as a team trainer expressed hope, Higgins knew right away she was headed for her second major surgery in less than a year.

She had blown out the ACL in her left knee 10 months earlier, during her senior year of high school. But Higgins moved past the immediate disbelief and another long rehab to earn her place in Oklahoma's history books.

"I don't think that I could quit," Higgins said. "I don't, because I know that I would look back in 10 or 15 years and just regret it horribly bad if I didn't finish it out or at least try."

At the OU/Baylor conference game at Norman this year, I immediately went home and watched the TiVo of the game, beacuse of one of her threes....it was monstrous!

It looked like it came out of the stands, she was so far back.....

I've always thought she was a damn fine hottie after I saw her play Pepperdine. One of the very few hotties in the WBB today. Speaking of Pepperdine they also have a hottie in Lauren Wenski.

The hottie level has gone down since the days of Mandy Close, Kylan Loney, Lauren Stagg, Kristen O'Neill, and Taylor Benson.

Ah...but has she ever hit one from behind the half court line? I've seen it done. Purdue's Ukari Figgs.

That must have been something to see! Which game?
Shocked

The way I figure, the fact that Higgs can still play is impressive enough, with two bum wheels. The range on the 3's is just gravy.

OU isn't playing Tennessee. They play Mississippi tomorrow. Then, if Tennessee isn't looking ahead of Marist, and they win- - they get to play the winner.
