That's how life's journey began for Brittany Johnson, the Olney East Richland senior who has been voted Ms. Basketball of Illinois for the 2006-07 season.

There are so many good players from Illinois going to OTHER Big Ten Schools. The top five vote getters for Ms. Basketball in the state were Devereaux Peters(Notre Dame), Tracy Pontius(Bowling Green), Brittney Thomas(Michigan State), and Alison Jackson(Ohio State).

That doesn't even include Sam Woods(Purdue), Amy Jaeske(Northwestern) and LaTear Eason(LSU) along with many others.

Marquette also has two pretty good players from Illinois coming in next season - Paige Fiedorowicz and Courtney Weibel.
