Question Was this it for her and Duke? It was weird, watching her walk off of the floor in a fast and disgusted pace, I was like, that might be the end of Gail as Duke's head coach.

I think she's done at Duke, but I hope she makes that dolla dolla bill at Texas!

Thank you for taking us to national prominence, Gail! We still love ya! Very Happy

I think she leaves as well. She is being severely underpaid at Duke and I don't blame her if she jumps at this chance.

Now the question becomes who will be Duke's next coach?

If Gail leaves, I think Duke should go after Joanne P. McCallie. I think she is the right person to coach these players. Her X's and O's are great, just doesn't have a lot of talent to pull it off. Look at that 2005 team, they were tremendous. She could do some things with the players that Duke has now, and with what they have coming in.

Unfortunately, this is Duke and Joe Alleva. Only one of the four is actually "qualified" for the job. No worries, though. JoAnne is a great up-and-coming coach.

i know she has ties to duke, but i think lavonda is liking her oregon state team. she lost only two seniors after this season and only has one senior (guard ashley allen) returning next year. so she has a very young returning team, most of her nucleus. i don't know where osu ranks in terms of freshmen class ratings, but she was always a top notch recruiter and i think she probably likes the idea of developing players she's brought in.

A native of Bristol, VA, Wagner spent three seasons (2002-05) as an assistant coach at Duke University, where she was heavily involved in recruiting, scouting, and working with the Blue Devils’ post players.

In her time at Duke, Wagner helped the Blue Devils bring in three top five national recruiting classes, including the top recruiting class in 2003 and the second-best recruiting class in 2005. Duke advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight in each of Wagner’s three seasons and earned a trip to the 2003 NCAA Final Four.

Prior to joining Duke’s staff, Wagner spent eight seasons at University of Illinois (1994-02), where she played a large role in the rise of Illini basketball. She was instrumental in garnering one of the top five recruiting classes in 2000, while she attracted many of the top players from Illinois and recruited on a national scale.

If Duke's AD isn't going to pay Goestenkors, he's not going to be able to afford McCallie. Aside from that...the facilities at Michigan St are light years ahead of Duke's.

Not for long, Duke has started a major basketball facility for their men's and women's team.

Dawn is in her home city where she wants to be. I don't see her leaving it. She is involved in other things in the community too. She loves where she is; not to mention the Asst. Coaching job for the USA team.

McCallie just signed a 5 year extension with MSU.
