Halftime Stanford 36, UCLA 28.
UCLA is keeping it close and I'm sure Stanford misses Candice Wiggins.

Stanford 61, UCLA 55, 4:33 left.

Stanford pulls it out 68 to 59.
Brooke Smith fouled out with about 3 minutes left, but a key steal by Jillian Harmon and a play by Jayne Appel kept the Cardinals safely ahead.

Candice hurt her hamstring in the closing minute of the first half of the Utah game last week. She hasn't played since. It's not a tear, but a strain - the tendon that attaches to the hamstring has been bothering her and she aggravated it on a jump shot. I would expect her to play next week vs. the Ariz schools.
Good road win for us being short handed- and with all three posts in foul trouble. Smith fouled out with 3 min to. Harmon had a key steal and frosh JJ Hones is doing a good job at the pg.

Stanford coach says just the opposite "It's not a hamstring strain but a torn tendon that attaches to the hamstring"
You better hope she's ready, ASU coming to town next week.

I read the article, I meant it was a hamstring strain- not tear. Tara also said she would have played Wiggins yesterday if it were a NCAA game. She will play vs. ASU, count on it. I am not worried about ASU at Maples.
