I like how we (ASU) moved up three spots this week by winning one road game with all five starters playing, whereas last week we dropped one spot by winning two home games minus two and three starters each night. Oh polls, you're so silly.

Oh well though, I'll take a Top Ten placement any day! Very Happy

So let me get this straight. We thrash three teams while they were ranked in the Top 25 within a six-day span--with one game coming on the road--and all we get is one fugging first place vote?????? Rolling Eyes Why? Is it because we don't have Monique Currie on the roster anymore? Rolling Eyes

Nevermind the observation that two of those teams (take a guess) weren't/aren't anything close to being Top 25 material. That's besides the point. Who do you think made those teams "Top 25" anyway? The damn voters! The same dumbass voters who thought enough of suckass Rutgers and Texas to put them in the Top 25 should've given Duke more credit for trounding them.

Voters need to wake up. This is a SCARY GOOD Duke team that they're sleeping on. I'm not saying that Duke should be the unanimous #1 in both polls, but damn...I'd say we've made a more intriguing case for #1 in one week than Maryland, UNC, and Oklahoma COMBINED have made this entire season.

Except that UNC put a beat down on a team much better than any that Duke has played.

I agree in principle though. I have Duke as the No. 2 team in the country.

Did any of you locals catch CTT on Good Morning AZ this AM? She was on talking about the TT game Monday night. Good to see her get some airtime.

I missed the morning show, but maybe it'll show up on youtube. I did recently see some old (i think) interviews of CTT circulating on youtube...with funny narration by the anonymous camera person. ie. "i totally know her!!!!" haha...

I THINK IT'S CRAP TOO!!!!!! Evil or Very Mad But I could rant forever on that...and this is not the place.

It's called reputation. The BYU loss is unexplainable. But Georgia and Tennessee, that makes sense. Stanford has the ability to beat almost every team from 10-25 in the rankings so where they're at makes sense. They're no pushover so they deserve to be there.

bballfan: Duke's solid play IS being recognized in the polls - that's why we've kept moving up all season. However, we don't deserve to jump over UNC or Maryland until we beat them. I think if we had a 7 game play off series with either team, we would enter the 7th game tied 3-3 and a coin toss would have to decide the winner. These three teams are very, very close in almost every aspect of what makes a team good.

To sum: Every game between any two of these three teams is going to come down to the physical and mental health of key players and the ability of each coach to have the right combo of players on the floor. It's an awesome time to be a fan of any of the three teams. There is absolutely no way of predicting a victor in the ACC.

Duke is certainly showing that we deserve to be in a three way tie with Maryland and UNC right now.
