My anticipation of the St. John's-Rutgers matchup on the 2nd is rapidly approaching the floor. At this rate, I might just wear a baghead to the game, no matter *which* team I'm rooting for.

Well, RU lost to Ole Miss last year, so despite losing a 20pt lead and blowing multiple opportunities to win the game in regulation and subsequent OTs, I guess you can say it's an improvement.

Rutgers wins, 89-85. ESPN's gametracker software fizzles out, showing all 3 OTs but with the wrong scores for each period...

Tough losss for the Rebels...it was the battle of wills at the end of that one. I'm still proud. Price had a stellar night and our young players are stepping up. I can't wait for the SEC play to start. Watch out....LOL

I am still kicking myself in the butt for going to a lame Christmas party instead of that game down in Oxford last year. Congrats to Rutgers.

Ya gotta give the kids (all of them) lots of credit for gutting it out - and RU blowing a 20pt lead notwithstanding (and having the SAME PLAY from Ole Miss forcing the 2nd and 3rd OT), the kids grew up VERY fast during this game. With Essence and Matee fouling out, thre was no choice but play or go down for the frosh group.
I mean, Kia AND Piph had double doubles. Check the box score for the playing minutes too.
At one point I thought several of them were going to keel over from not being able to breathe, and Piph looked she had one of those "where am I" moments for a split second.
Crap, if it had gone to quad OT, *I* would have had to been carried out.
And the other thing - PEOPLE WERE LEAVING!!! HOW COULD THEY?!?!?
AAAAGH!
