I don't get why everyone has Rutgers in the Top 10. Apparently Pondexter had no impact on the team...

I agree. They were borderline Top 10 last year, and Pondexter was their only consistent offense.

She wasn't their only consistent offense, she was the offense. Vaughn could be a force, but I have never seen a post player do well under Cviv.

UConn
Key Players: F Charde Houston, G Renee Montgomery, C Tina Charles
The Skinny: The Huskies have always had the all-world superstars to rely on, but not this year---unless Charde Houston suddenly discovers consistency. Just don't bet the house on it.
That is a little rough towards Charde, no?

How was that rough? It is true. That is one of the three biggest keys to UConn's season (the others are Tina Charles' impact and Renee Montgomery's development).

You are right, it is the truth, but I don't know, I just thought it was a little rough. But anyways, generally, SLAM doesnt really know what they are talking about.

Maryland
Key Players: G Kristi Tolliver, F/C Crystal Langhorne, G/F Marissa Coleman
The Skinny: The reigning national champs return their top seven players and add a former McD's All-American(Tennessee transfer Sa'de Wiley-Gatewood). Yikes.

Duke
Key Players: G Lindsey Harding, C Allison Bales, G Abby Waner
The Skinny: The Blue Devils had the national title in their grasp last season. But with Monique Currie and Mistie Williams now starting in the WNBA, they're a step behind the elite teams.[/u][/b]

Rutgers ahead of Duke?????????????? Even before Ajavon went down, Duke was gonna beat the heck out of them. Without Ajavon, or with Ajavon at less than 100%, Rutgers has NO chance against Duke. |
Yes, Rutgers ahead of Duke is assinine and no, a healthy Ajavon wouldn't help them against us. They have no inside game and their offense can be non-existent.

With Ajavon in Rutgers, the Blue Devil - Knights game is a good matchup. Losing Matee for this contest hurts Cviv's troops. I think SLAM did their analysis before Ajavon was determined to miss a few games.
