Not exactly news to me. Ajavon is always injured. The only questions one has to ask are "where" and "for how long"?

Still, this is a major blow to the Scarlet Kinghts as they try to progress through their tough nonconference schedule. Hopefully Ajavon mends quickly. Good luck to Matee and Rutgers. It could be rough.

Out of curiosity, how did you come up with 3 months? I didn't see any timeline, other than this season mentioned.

I was wondering why I hadn't heard much about her this summer as far as tournaments were concerned. Oh well. Essence Carson was a beast at West 4th though and for some reason I think it's finally going to click for Kia. I don't forsee Rutgers having too many problems without Ajavon. It's not like she's been all that great anyway and they've got a good class coming in.

What I don't understand is that if this is a recurring injury and one she battles with all the time, why would the RU medical staff wait until now to have surgery? Was it an injury that they thought would heal with rest only to find out she needed surgery? This sucks for her, I hate to see player injured.

Well, we still have Carson & Kia Vaughn. Hopefully Coach CVS will let Kia play up to her potential and finally be able to be a dominate center. It's a shame she had to play behind Michelle Campbell last season.

Unless Carson can create for Vaughn, that's not nearly enough.
