Oy. Earlier tonight, the Tigers and Gamecocks combined to score 43 in the FIRST QUARTER. Oregon and Indiana total 47 pts in the first HALF. 😳🤪 Indiana leads 25-22.
We're talkin' LOW-powered offenses here - I can't believe how many point-blank shots BOTH teams have missed. FG %: OR - 28, IN - 39.
The one thing I AM impressed with is The Ducks' defense. Much improved. 😎
Edit to add: I have enjoyed following Indiana for the past few season, especially with Grace Berger's leadership. Yarden-Garzon and Chloe Moore McNeil both were real jolts of skilled energy in past seasons. And Ciezski rolling from Penn St. was a nice addition. Of course, Parrish's defection only helped Indiana, but yet, they're seemingly LESS than the sum of their parts.
They ARE talented, but just not as efficient or proficient as they usta be, imo. But - compliments aside - I'm happy with the Oregon win, even though they're reminding me a lot of Rutgers low-level offense from back in the day.
