After the embarrassing loss to Texas, Alabama came back on went to Oxford to beat Ole Miss 84-78 on Sunday. Aaliyah Nye scored a career high 32 points and made 7 3 pointers (one off her career high) while Zaay Green had 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists. Bama overcame 1st team all SEC Sarah Ashlee Barker being out again, starting center Essence Cody being in foul trouble, and a very bad day at the free throw line. Alabama countered that shooting 56% from the floor including 12-19 from 3. Ole Miss had 4 in double figures including 21 & 12 from Starr Jacobs. Their Achilles heel was 3 point shooting where they shot 7-21.

The win snapped Ole Miss' 11 game home winning streak. Ole Miss hosts Florida on Thursday while the Tide hosts South Carolina.

Proud of my Tide this year. They are poised and primed to do well and are making it through Barker's injury pretty well, last Thursday not withstanding. I will be interested to see how they fare against SC.

'bama MUST be playing on all cylinders, even with stars missing. MS St. just took #8(now#10) Oklahoma down in a game with odd stats - OK outperformed the Bulldogs in just about all categories, but still lost. Prolly the 7 more PFs and the 10+ TOs busted that balloon. 🤪

Are the Curry's back to coaching full time now that their girls are out of the house? She started out great at Purdue but then shifted focus after the girls were born and both spent a lot less time in the office to be full time parents and part time coaches.

This game was against Ole Miss, not Miss. St. Smile

But Ole Miss has been ranked at times this season.

Not sure, but I would assume so? They have done pretty well in the recruiting rankings lately.
