jammerbirdi is down in that area, I believe Beverly Hills. I don't think that area has had anything but the air quality must be terrible. In the San Francisco area we had air quality warnings about not doing outside activities when there were fires over a hundred miles away a few years back.

Edit: Actually, these are not as bad as recent California fires:

This probably seems worse because it seems to be getting more coverage, close to a major city, and hitting the homes of stars.

This just blows my mind. I can't even imagine.

I read something about insurance policies being cancelled a few months ago. I think it was State Farm. How will people ever rebuild? And without jobs because those have also gone away.

I just read that Northwestern women's basketball has decided to not go out there this weekend.

My cousin in West Hollywood has told me that the air quality is very bad. He says he's never experienced anything quite like it in his 30-some years out there. I've been thinking of Jammer - hope he's safe! Are there any other Reb members in L.A.?

I’m good. Heartbroken. We’ve been very lucky in terms of air quality. Maybe one day there was visible smoke in the air. Got a couple of serious air purifiers coming tomorrow. I’m looking out the front window right now and the leaves on the trees are starting to move again. Extended moderate Santa Ana event to start maybe tonight.

I’ve got some Pacific Palisades stories and this is probably the only place I could tell them so I’ll get to that later.

It’s funny that two of the most idyllic bedroom communities in LA would be hit like this.
