This sounds like a reasonable hypothesis about possible voter behavior. But which party of voters in the state, do you think, would be most discouraged and suppressed — voters in the overwhelmingly dominant party or those in the minority party?

Take an almost uni-party state such as California, for example. Everyone knows the Democrat candidate is going to swamp the Republican in national elections. So will the Democrat or Republican voters be more discouraged and suppressed? And how does state uni-partiness affect voters who self-style themselves as Independents? I don't know the answers.

California has some competitive House races, thanks to non-partisan districting, so it may not be the best example.

Yes, but House races are not affected by the Electoral College. Only the presidential race is, and that was (I think) the primary point scullyfu was addressing.

No state is completely uni-party, but my questions about who is mostly discouraged/suppressed apply whether we are talking about California (D), Oklahoma (R), Massachusetts (D) or Montana (R). And, you're right, those questions do apply in some non-presidential races, mainly state-wide races such as those for a federal senator or a governor.

I think that the people in the minority party would be most discouraged and unlikely to vote. Kind of like fans of losing teams. If you feel like your team is going to lose, why go to the game?? Fans of the winning teams will go to take part in the fun of winning!

I couldn't find it but the other day I saw a post from AOC where she was asking her constituents who voted for her but also voted for Donald Trump what their thought process was. I haven't seen any of the results except a couple where someone said that they felt AOC and Trump were alike which I thought was weird.

You think T-rump doesn't handle that himself?? 😁😂🤣

What can Biden's DOJ still do during this Lame Duck session to push Gaetz's prosecution forward. He must be guilty of those old charges, as word was, McCarthy got screwed by him cuz he refused to quell the charges agains Matt.

"Masterclass" on....?🤔

Glenn is good. I appreciated his connection with Snowden (I still wish Eric was hailed a hero). However....as he portrays the liberal echo chambers that generate unfounded (?) accusations as "McCarthyism", yet he deigns to make appearances on Fox News? On Tucker Carleson's show, no less?? 🫣

What he says re: Tulsi and her accusers isn't far-fetched at all. This IS the milieu of POLITICS, with all sides guilty. Now, I don't follow him all that closely so I don't know this - maybe you can tell me: does he do the SAME depth of analysis on how the Republican Fox machine does the exact thing (and gets paid for it!)?

The New York Times fact checks RFK Jr. (11/15/24)

“Mr. Kennedy has singled out Froot Loops as an example of a product with too many artificial ingredients, questioning why the Canadian version has fewer than the U.S. version. But he was wrong. The ingredient list is roughly the same, although Canada’s has natural colorings made from blueberries and carrots while the U.S. product contains red dye 40, yellow 5 and blue 1 as well as Butylated hydroxytoluene, or BHT, a lab-made chemical that is used “for freshness,” according to the ingredient label.”

6 people tell why they voted for Trump. Black, self-employed male from Detroit; white, female realtor from California; white male landman, from Wyoming; Immigrant Hispanic, male restaurant manager from Pensacola; white, male steelworker from Pennsylvania; white, male coal miner turned car salesman from Pennsylvania.

I like how a couple of them want to speak for me.

What specific ways do you expect your life will improve under a Trump administration?
Quote:
The most specific way I expect life to improve under Trump's administration is the morale of the entire country especially working class has improved, we are no longer ignored.

Quote:
When I went to Milwaukee (for the Republican National Convention), the message was all about unity, and unless the Republicans and Democrats can’t come together it doesn’t make a lot of sense to pay a politician, what $200,000 and all they do sit around, fight each other and get nothing done. There’s so much we agree on, but there’s so much partisanship that prevents us from getting down to business.

How do you expect the country will improve with him in office?
Quote:
This campaign made feel people proud of their country, and when you're in a good mood, that makes everybody feel good.

Quote:
Hopefully, he can create some unity. The country needs it.

How do you expect your community will improve with him in office?
Quote:
My community has came together under the results of the election everyone is happy to see the woke agenda ending.

Here's RFK, Jr. eating McDonalds and drinking full sugar Coke on Trump Force 1. He's probably doing so under threat of waterboarding, but if not, he must be cancelled by the Senate.

lol. The look on his face says it all. He’s eating that McDonalds for the good health of our nation. Everyone knows you eat what Trump eats or you’re fired. And I’m only slightly kidding. Story was out years ago that if you go to dinner with Trump you don’t order fish. You must order steak and you can’t order it any other way but well done. So RFK Jr. is taking one for all of us. 😁

I find it impossible to take anyone in that pic seriously.

And that's terrifying.
