That's why I said if the NCAA can't do it, coaches can. All it would take is enough of the top coaches saying "not interested" to athletes who are already on their second school, and it won't look as green as it does now.

Y'all are being silly. Just hold on a minute and think about what you're saying before you put fingers to keyboard.
First of all, the NCAA is now a toothless tiger. Secondly, the NIL has changed everything, and nobody knows yet how much. Not for everyone, true. Mid-major athletes may still be mid-major athletes and go from place to place. Some higher-placed athletes will move down, some lower-placed ones, move up. It's the name of the game. And not everyone has an NIL, either. So just hold your freakin' horses.

I'm happy for her. I know it's easy to diss social media stars, but she made a bunch of money that most of us would have gladly made at her age. And now, she's decided she'd rather play basketball than continue making as much money, which speaks well for her love of the game.

I wish her all the best ...

It Van Lith wants to continue playing point guard then they would be competing for who is the starter.

Makes me wonder if HC leaving opened up a spot for HVL or if HVL was being brought in and that's why HC is leaving.[/i]

TCU has also quietly taken in another guard, Maddie Scherr from KY, (originally from Oregon's #1 ranked class in '20) so that may have played into it all, as well.

Tennessee's Karoline Striplin has entered the portal. Tennessee had been one of only five P5 schools with no one in the portal (I forget the full list of five, but I think it also included Duke, Indiana, and Iowa).

Well, nice going, Coach Kim. No gets and already chased away a good one.

James Madison signs incoming freshman Daviane Mindoudi from Spain, a 6'1 wing. This is an interesting get and only, I think, our second European player.

How do you know Striplin is leaving because she doesn't want to play for Kim Caldwell?

Don't know for sure, but she was Kellie's recruit. That says something to me. I am so unimpressed by the hire of Caldwell that I have hit the "pause" button on my Lady Voll fandom, first time since 1973. And mad at Danny White for hiring a coach who is basically untried at this level. One season at Marshall does not make her ready for the SEC, let alone Tennessee.

That's what I was thinking. Striplin has been underwhelming. Coach has had time for one on ones and individual workouts. New coach's job is to re-make the team into a winning team.

1973 was pre-Summitt. Somehow that hire of an untested coach didn't seem to bother you.

Kellie Harper was hired after having tried and failed at the P5 level. Is that really better than being untested?
