USA Team beats World Team, 83-80, in an exciting fourth quarter comeback.

The two dominant scorers for USA were Joyce Edwards (S.Car.) and Kennedy Smith (S. Calif.). Double figure scorers for World were Avery Howell (S. Calif.), Toby Fournier (Duke), Kate Koval (Notre Dame) and Faith Ehi Etute (Oregon).

Sarah Strong (UConn) and Jaloni Cambridge (OHSt) were DNP, but I don't know why. Strong did injure her knee a few weeks ago in a game.

Box Score

The game will be replayed on FS2 on Sunday, 4/14, at 11pm (EDT?).

Having watched the game, Joyce Edwards was obvious choice for MVP of US team. The world team, I'd have to split that between Howell, Koval and fournier. Howell was all over the place, storming through the paint, hitting her shots from outside. Koval is a rim protector who can hit 3 pt shots. fournier can look like Angel Reese at times, getting o-bound putbacks.
