Are they trying to make it look Reese isn’t invited? She’s already in New York.

Are they sure all these people are going to get drafted?

A rerun of Steffanie Blackmon would be interesting

They invited 15 last year as well and they were all gone in the first two rounds (just). I'd be surprised if any of them didn't get drafted, it just might take a while.

15 does continue to seem excessive, though. Especially considering ESPN generally stop paying any attention to who's actually picked after the first round.

When people saw the 2017 draft attendee group pictures they were surprised to see how short Plum was. I think Pili will stand out like that this year.

by the end of the 2nd round, they will be calling teams and begging them to take the one...or two still sitting there.

Pili has stated she's 5-11 so nobody should be surprised.

I think more people have seen her 6' 2" roster height than heard her say that. Although it was the Utah powers that be that put her at 6'2". USC listed her as 6'0" which is the correct roster height for someone 5'11". But with the WNBA teams not allowed to measure she shouldn't be honest. Let them figure it out post-draft as they feel is the right sequence for some reason.

Why are W teams not allowed to measure?

Uh oh. Well if you have never heard of that then maybe I am misremembering. But I recall seeing it stated at least once. But don't remember by who or what the rationale was. Are they allowed to meet with college players before the draft? I think the answer is no and that would preclude any measurements.

True. So the better number for attendees should be twelve and not fifteen.

Any team seeking to draft a player whose height is questionable should send in a spy to investigate. The spy should be the same height as the player. Have the spy engage the player in some small talk and have a second spy nearby taking photos. Measurement problem solved.

Does tampering exist in the WNBA? I'm just curious.

Oh yes, Plum is small. Assuming they are both fudging approximately the same amount, Clark is 4 inches taller.

Of course. People have been fined for it, but in typical WNBA fashion they don't tend to tell anyone about anything.

I have thought Plum got at least an extra inch added into her college "roster height" (which is usually over-stated by 1 to 1.5 inches). But in this picture it looks like Jackie Young got the boost. Here is the 6'0" listed Alisha Gray, 6'0" listed Jackie Young, 6'5" listed Stefanie Dolson and the 5'8" listed Plum. But Gray could be listed at her actual height. But Gray and Young look the same height here??

I'll pick Pili. Seems too short for WNBA power forward. Although I would love to see her play Alyssa Thomas, who I think would be the next shortest power forward in the league. But I think a case could be made that Fair is too short and that Sheldon, Muhl and Kitley are not quick enough.
