Through the play in games



UPSET = Any lower seed winning
BIG UPSET = Upset in which the teams are more than four seeds apart
CLOSE GAME = Any game decided by single digits or in OT
BLOWOUT = Any game decided by 20+ points

This year they had the...

...exact same number of upsets and big upsets as last year

...fewest close games since 2009

...most blowouts since the record setting 1999 tournament

...most 80+ point games since 2002

...most 90+ point games since 2017

...most 100+ point games since 1994

...first tournament with any 100+ point games since 2018

...highest scoring tournament since 2017
