Atkins (broken nose) and Austin (hip) both on injured list

Toliver just went down with a non-contact knee injury. Doesn’t look good.

Huge, huge win with no La Presidente on the floor. Big cheers for Dearica, Layshia, Jordin, Karla, and Azura. Time to assume the Road Warriors mentality with huge games against the Sun, Liberty, and Storm to close out the regular season. The Sparks need to FLY!!!

I couldn't catch this game, but I see the box score and....No Nneka? Is she OK?

I couldn't catch this game, but I see the box score and....No Nneka? Is she OK? Great effort, to beat a clicking Mystic team without her.

The Mystics didn't really click, with Austin and Atkins already out and Tolliver and Egbo getting injured during the game.

Mystics fans got to see their full lineup for, like two games.

Well, I meant to imply that the Mystics had some *clicking* momentum going into recent games, despite today's vacancies. But still....where/why/what with Nneka??

The announcers said that about 30 minutes before the game, the Sparks said Nneka would not play due to a knee issue (can't recall if they called it an injury). Basically, she was pulled from the line-up at the last minute.

Late scratch with a knee issue. And I mean *late*; they had tweeted she was going to start and had to update that.

Yes, Mystics were totally demoralized by having two starters AGAIN sidelined by injury. Announcer talked nonstop about EDD's lack of mobility, even repeating overheard coaching advice from the coach to "go at EDD early and often" due to her lack of mobility. She clearly was not herself in this game missing multiple shots she makes over 75% of the time.

Then Kristi went down and many on the team were in tears. Then Queen went down, apparently re-injuring her ankle. Not a good place for the Mystics going into playoffs. What a differene a week can make! One week ago, Mystics were on top of the world, beating the Aces after finally having a full lineup for the first time since June.

I want to assert that we currently have no idea if Eric T is a WNBA caliber coach. There is no way to know after this injury decimated season. Mystics deserve to have a below average injury season soon after four straight years of having more injured players/players severely limited by injury than players fully healthy. And, yes, I'm counting Myisha Hines-Allen among those severely limited by injury in 3 out of the 4 years.

Elena Delle Donne has a history of being hurt/sick/unavailable going back as far as you want to look. Toliver has a lot of miles on her. You can't really be shocked that they've been out.

EDD, Toliver and others got the Mystics a ring!

Yeah, but it was against the Sun, though. The Sun are the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the WNBA: every team that plays them in the Finals wins a ring.

Four years ago. Candace Parker hadn't even gone to Chicago yet. That's an eternity in the W.
