Strangeness today. Maya Moore and Tamika Catchings both missing from the set of answers of players to win ROY and an NCAA title.

Apologies for that, issue has been fixed.

The original family of Immaculate Grids has now deigned to include women's basketball in the mix: https://www.immaculategrid.com/basketball/womens

I am not a fan of them using the profile photos (or lack thereof) instead of just the names. I literally changed an answer I was going to use because I didn't want Tamika Whitmore staring at me while I finished the puzzle.

I like the rarity scores. I got 14 on my first one, most of it from the darn Mystics. Really didn't expect 4% to put Izi Castro Marques in the center square.

I got a 23. Scores are coming on the HHS version as well, by the way.

The rules are simple

Every day, a new 3-by-3 grid is revealed. Across the top and the side, three teams and/or accomplishments are listed.

A player will click on one of the nine boxes and enter a player that satisfies the criteria of both the top and left listing. Example: If someone clicks on a box that has Sparks across the top and Mystics on the left, then they would have to enter a player that played for both teams. Chamique Holdsclaw, Kristi Toliver, and Jasmine Thomas would all be acceptable players.

If someone clicks on a box that has an accomplishment and a team, then they will have to enter a player that satisfies the accomplishment with the team. Example: If the team is Minnesota Lynx and the accomplishment is MVP, then Sylvia Fowles would be an acceptable answer.

Players have just nine guesses — correct or incorrect — to guess all spots in the immaculate grid.

A player can only be guessed once, and can be either active or inactive.

Thanks pilight !! I played my first grid and got 8/9 with 191 rarity score. Very suspicious as the 1 I got incorrect was a player who played with Dallas and Washington aka Abby Meyers but Sad wrong ?

Meyers never actually played for Dallas. Gotta play in a regular season game to count.

Quite proud of my score of 15 today.. Doubt I'll ever do that well again.

Related ... How do so few people remember Natalie Williams?

Well, like most women from her generation, her best years arguably preceded the WNBA's existence. And she spent most of the relevant portion of her WNBA career as the third-best big in her own conference, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Mine was 23 when I finished it but it's gone down to 15 now. Perhaps I should start trying to Shea Mahoney my grid into a really low score.

when the hell did she play for the Merc?!?!

I mostly remember her for her very dry response of "I don't know, I might break your camera" when a fan asked for a picture in the Liberty days.

Going to the Utah/San Antonio years (and the Detroit/Tulsa years for the Wings) is a great way to get good rarity. Immaculate Grid is more mainstream than HHS so it's going to have more of a recency bias.

She was in Phoenix during Cynthia Cooper's abortive second season as coach

With relatively few people playing and the scores being lower than the other IG games, the rarity scores for WBB are more volatile. Mine has dropped two more points to 13 in the last hour.
