. . . in this photo who was or is affiliated with college or pro women's basketball. No Googling; eyes only.

Almost 200 views and not even one guess. This must be harder than I expected. So, I'll begin to give clues.

It's one of the nine people standing in the back row. This person has had a well-known affiliation with both D1 WCBB and/or the WNBA for more than 25 years.

Maybe your person isn't as well known as you think that they are.

I'll try to help with some deductive reasoning. If this picture was taken in approximately 1985 (based on the style of the 2 female's clothing), and the kids are approximately 15 at the time; the person in question is approximately 53 years old. Based on approximations. Wink

Give us a clue as to which one of the females we are looking at.

The picture was taken in 1989. Not in North America or Europe.

Never used the word "female". I've only talked about a "person". That's not to say it's not a female.

I'll continue to be noncommittal about the person's sex, but at different times in his or her life, he or she was either a player or on the coaching staff of a NCAA D1 WCBB national championship team, and a WNBA championship team, and a gold medal winning Olympic team.

Sheesh, if anyone's out there, let's get this over with before the S16 tomorrow.

It's one of the girls in the photo.

In college, she was a consensus first team All American, she won at least four NPOY awards, and was on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

She went on to play on a WNBA championship team. Since then, she has been continuously involved in WBB and still is at a high level position.

End of clues.

Which girl is it in the photo and what's her name?

Can't say I would've guessed it without the clues, but Jen Rizzotti fourth from the left?

We have a winner!

Rizzotti attended the American School in Japan, in Tokyo, from 6th through 9th grades. While there, she played on the girl's basketball team and the boy's soccer team. Here is an article about her time there, from which I took the photo:

I had to work hard to alter the photo to conceal it from reverse image searches because I know I would have cheated.
