Earlier this week: https://www.inquirer.com/college-sports/temple/temple-women-basketball-two-players-suspended-20230125.html

Quote:
Sophomore guards Jasha Clinton and Aniya Gourdine have been suspended for a violation of team rules, according to Owls coach Diane Richardson.

In addition, graduate forward Jalynn Holmes and freshman guard Kourtney Wilson have voluntarily left the team and are no longer part of Temple’s program.

Yesterday: https://www.inquirer.com/sports/temple-womens-basketball-suspensions-20230127.html

Quote:
After serving what initially was a one-game suspension during Wednesday’s 68-59 win at Tulane, sophomore guards Jasha Clinton and Aniya Gourdine have been dismissed from Temple’s women’s basketball program.

The backcourt duo violated team rules, according to head coach Diane Richardson on Wednesday.

Temple down to 10 players on its roster, 1 of which is out for the year with a knee injury. Not lookin' good. This is Diane Richardson’s first season as HC of the program, having previously been the HC of Towson WBB.

Let Diane whine to Geno and Doug Bruno. She's no worse off than they are, , and she did this herself.

Really? Was there a reason to bring Geno and Doug into this unfortunate incident in which team members violated team rules? How did the coach "do this to herself" when her players are the ones who violated agreed upon rules and we don't really know what exactly occurred to get these players suspended?

what in the name of the flying spaghetti monster does anything have to do with anything

She's not bemoaning the shortness of the roster herself, the players who broke the team rules should be held responsible for their own actions, and the cheap swipes at Auriemma and Bruno were not necessary.

Yeah, except someone saying that Temple was down to 10, which is actually 9 because one of them is out for the year….so? There are teams in worse shape, including DePaul and UConn. And having been around Richardson in the CAA, she’s known to whine. I was not disparaging Auriemma and Bruno in the least.
