Mississippi St pulls out a one point win over KY. Benton and Walker are 2 pretty dynamic guards for KY, and Scherr is no slouch. I'm a little surprised they only have one conference win so far.

Wake Forest leads Louisville 55-51 with 5 minutes left in the game.

Jewel Spear has 26 for Wake on 8-13 shooting.

Is Spear eligible for the WNBA this year?

Just over a minute to go with Wake leading, Spear dribbles the ball all over trying to kill clock, and with ONE SECOND left on the shot clock, she forces a long three and Morgan Jones fouls her. The ultimate bailout.

Jeff Walz just shook his head.

Now 61-57 Wake lead with 26 seconds to go, Wake inbounding the ball.

Jeff Walz gets called for a technical with 23 seconds to go. Pretty much ends this.

Wake now leads 66-57.

Assuming there is no miracle Cardinal finish, this will be Wake's first win over Louisville EVER. They were 0-for-whatever before tonight.

Walz is a dick. His players bust their asses for 39 minutes and 38 seconds and then he throws a pissy little fit and gets teched.

They were down 5, with the ball and :23 to go. He does his best imitation of a brat and gets teched. Spear made both and Wake goes up by 7.

Unbelievable!

Walz is not the coach I thought he was. His team is fading fast this season.

JMU went to Coastal Carolina and suffered their second conference loss of the season, 79-64. The Dukes had a miserable shooting night at 33% and their usually reliable 3 point shooting was down to 21%. Kiki Jefferson scored 17 for the Dukes whilie Aja Blount and Deaja Richardson dumped in 20 apiece for the Chanticleers.

Coastal seriously needs to upgrade their facilities if they want to play with the big kids. Their gym is only a step above a HS gym, with parking for just a few high-dollar donors; everyone else is on their own. Sad and not befitting a sizable state university.

JMU lost their second straight in Atlanta to GA State, 72-64, in a game marred by injury to C Kseniia Kozlova of the Dukes who has been having a monster season. Not sure exactly what it is yet but hopefully ankle and not knee. She left the game not bearing any weight on the right leg and obviously in pain. Crying or Very sad

Like all fans, I hate injuries. Sorry to hear about that. Let's hope it's not season ending.

Really. She is our rock in the middle, and also one of our most consistent scorers.

Wazzou appears to be pulling an upset on #19 AZ, up by 5 with only a couple of minutes left.

LIU over St. Francis Brooklyn yesterday in the Battle of Brooklyn, 69-54, punctuated by Ashley Austin getting fouled on a halfcourt heave at the end of the first half... and hitting the damn thing.
