Well, I think it's time to admit that Haley Cavinder in the 2nd round was, unfortunately, a reach.

I'm going to drop her and pick up Paige Robinson, G, Illinois State for my 2nd and final transaction of the week.

It's always tricky to know if a player is going to get the same numbers the next year, even if they stay at the same school...but when they transfer to a new school all bets are off. Sometimes it's better, sometimes worse, rarely the same.

Tbinta with a really good pickup in Juric who I had been eyeing, but unable to pick up as I'd already wasted my two transactions for last week.

It was a hard fought matchup, but the Coyotes have escaped with a win over Tbinta.

There's just one matchup in the air tonight as Washington State's Bella Murekatete duels against Yvonne Ejim of Gonzaga as Calbearman and Adam come down to the wire. Calbearman currently leads 5.5-4.5; however, this matchup is tough as nails. Whoever sinks more threes between --if any-- the two remaining players will get an extra half point for their team. Calbearman currently trails Adam by 14 points - and if Bella can outscore Yvonne by that much, it will potentially spell doom for Adam. Calbearman also leads ever so slightly in FG% - 49.18% to 48.72%. They are also separated by just three rebounds, one assist, and one steal. Tonight's players go forth with the opportunity to make or break their fantasy team's fortunes!

Poor Undersized Post has gotten....trounced by Myrtle, Pureform lost the battle of unbeatens against Thardy in what can truly be described as an ugly matchup for both teams. Hoopsmom and OKState battled to a dramatic draw taking 5 categories apiece.

Bumping this transaction as I don't see it in the spreadsheet. Thanks!

Sorry for missing it the first time, and thank you for bumping! Should be good to go now.

I’ve been having second thoughts, and I want to switch two players. I want to have Jones be active as a U, and Earnest to be an alternate F. Both for the games that I originally listed.

So I clearly do not understand women's basketball. I always believed that you should use players against weaker teams. This week I was faced with two of my guards (Georgia Amoore and Jaz Shelley) playing each other. I didn't really want to play either so I picked up Anna McKendree, a guard I had taken note of when Indiana St played St Louis. She had good stats from her Freshman season at Nicholls St (11pts, 4.5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.7 steals and decent shooting, 47% FG, 38% 3pt and 75% FT.)

In her first 2 games against weaker competition, she averaged 21 points on 60% FG and 3pt shooting along with 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 4 steals. And I was able to get her against Chicago St, one of the worst teams in the country.

So now let's compare McKendree to Amoore.

Points: 11 vs 24
FG: 3-11 vs 8-15
3pt: 1-7 vs 4-10
Rebounds: 6 vs 10
Assists: 2 vs 11

A triple-double sitting on my bench - That's Amoore

OK, enough bellyaching.

It's a mystery and can be frustrating. If you play a good player against a really weak team you can get burned when she only plays 12 minutes while her team wins by 50. Sometimes good players on funky teams get inspired and have great games against good teams. Actually really good players sometimes play their best against good teams. And sometimes it's just luck...or the lack thereof.

This week I missed out on my Lehigh lady's great game who I didn't play because I was afraid of turnovers and I was afraid of her shooting on the road. Along with 26 points, fabulous % and lots of good stuff she got ONE turnover. Meanwhile I played my superstud Czinano and got 5 points and 4 turnovers. [sigh]

Extremely grateful for the minimum minutes rule this week. Im hoping Cooper can pull through more than Owusu was before injuring her hand.

NaLyssa Smith was so fun to have last year because I could count on her show out in the games against the best competition.
