Entertaining game. Marquette looks to me to be smoother, better coached, and more disciplined. UCLA is quicker.
Not sure why the point production by both teams has been so anemic. It seems like a better played game than the points would suggest. It was 11-8 Marquette at the end of the first Q. Is a little better in the second Q, it's 23-18 Marquette mid-2nd Q. Marquette has maintained a small lead most of the game.
Peck just blamed the score on good defense by both teams. Not sure that really explains it.

Ditto to all of this. If Marquette could get a defensive rebound or UCLA could make bunnies, the game could be quite different.

yeah, UCLA has missed a lot of bunnies.
Kept expecting Kiki to make a big bucket. She had her chances.
Of course three games in three days is a bit of a heavy load for anybody.

Marquette just seems to be getting gassed and has fallen behind by 7 in overtime. UCLA's largest lead of the game is probably going to carry them to the win. Unfortunate.
Lack of quality depth.

Well that's too bad. Marquette falls to UCLA in overtime.
The announcers are saying "watch out for UCLA in the PAC 12," but I don't think Stanford should be losing any sleep based on what I saw today.

This is slightly off topic, but I continue to be amazed by Carolyn Peck's inability to get player's names correct. She called Chloe Marotta "Mariotta" so many times that I ended up watching the fourth quarter and overtime on mute.

Stanford is head and shoulders right now in the Pac-12.
I am looking forward to seeing how this UCLA team progresses through the season.

It was entertaining. I actually thought both teams just looked so damn good defensively. They're both gonna give lots of teams trouble.
