We did the best of three, why not the best of five. The W hasn't shown any indication of doing anything other than 2-2-1 but that doesn't mean we can't discuss it.
To detail
1-1-1-1-1 High seed hosts 1, 3, 5
1-1-1-2 High seed hosts 2, 4, 5
1-1-2-1 High seed hosts 1, 3, 4
1-2-1-1 High seed hosts 2, 3, 5
1-2-2 High seed hosts 1, 4, 5
1-3-1 High seed hosts 2, 3, 4
2-1-1-1 High seed hosts 1, 2, 4
2-2-1 High seed hosts 1, 2, 5
2-3 High seed hosts 3, 4, 5
3-2 High seed hosts 1, 2, 3

I'm prepared to die on the "higher seed should be able to sweep on their own home floor" hill
My vote was 1-2-1-1, but 1-1-1-1-1 would be my second choice if Cathy E can guarantee charters in the Finals from here on out, as well as as many 2-day stints in between gamedays as possible for the sake of getting the players a true rest day. (Gameday, then travel day, then rest day, then the next gameday)
If the League weren't cash-strapped, would some of y'all still support the current 2-2-1?

Most seem to think the high seed having Game 5 at home is also essential. That leaves your two options and the 2-3, which I included for the sake of completeness.
I vote 2-2-1 but I could get behind the 1-1-1-1-1 if they could finish a five game series in less than two weeks that way.

I think 2-2-1 is fine. I don't remember ever hearing many complaints about that format. It means relatively limited travel, both teams guaranteed at least one home game, higher seed gets to both start and finish at home if necessary. I don't see any need to mess with it. |

It is the best format. Now I will balk at having only one day of rest for travel day. I would like to see two days of the rest when traveling to the other city. One day of rest when teams stay in the same city to play two games.

Agreed! I think teams struggled in the semis with one day rest + commercial travel between games 2 and 3.
