One thing I can say for sure as a Liberty fan these days is to have few expectations. Objectively, this is a very important game for NY because on paper it’s the easiest of their next 9 games. However, “easiest” is a very relative term for a Liberty team that has beaten CT and DC on the road but lost to Minnesota twice, including once at home. One thing is indisputable. The upcoming 9 game stretch is brutal for NY, with 3 vs. Vegas, 2 vs. Chicago, 1 at CT and 1 at DC. Along with a 3-game west coast trip which includes a back to back. If they can hold their own in this stretch (a big if although they’ve generally played well with both Dangerfield and Johannes) then they’re set up for the final 8 games. ALL of those 8 feature teams that they are one game or less separated from. Also Laney should be back for that stretch.

Let's see if this team can establish a true home court advantage. They have played at home so few times this season---including getting blown out by the Sky the last home game--- they need to recapture that home-court edge.

Imma keep it real, y'all know Liz is my girl, but I support that call by Fred: when you've got Nneka with a mismatch inside, and you take a three that early in the shot clock, you ought to get pulled... Just don't keep her out of the game too long, trying to prove a point.

Well considering the Liberty have 4 FTA, 2 being defensive three second and LA has 15, I’d say more are being let go against LA.

I feel like Katie Lou is a year or two away from becoming an impact player. Especially if she gets stronger.

that's funny, most games I wonder why she's out there at all. She's so streaky and not very good at the defensive end.

Io 2 assists away from triple double land. Her shooting has been abysmal, so she should start assisting instead.

Probably could have said the same thing about Allie Quigley, her fourth year in the league.

The Sparks are a juggernaut! Chiney with a double-double---who woulda thunk it!?! With a ton of home games on the horizon, the Ladies of LaLa have an opportunity to reach the north side of a 0.500 winning percentage.

Where was Sami?
Is Allen ok?
How did Dangerfield manage such minimal statistical impact in 20+ minutes? Is she too far below the eye level of her teammates?
Lexie Brown with +19 in 38:29 in a 10 point win, means they blew 9 points in the 91 seconds that she sat. Struck me as an interesting little tidbit. (correlation ≠causation disclaimer, but it does look like she had a good game)

Re: Katie Lou. It’s her fourth team in four years. Not everyone develops at the same rate, nor does everyone have the same situation within which to develop. Underrated mobility at her height, solid passer, excellent shooter. I just think you can build on those skills, particularly if she develops a stronger frame and continues to adjust to the speed of the WNBA. Penny Taylor hit her scoring high seven seasons in and her assist high ten seasons in. Becky Hammon’s career bests started to reach an apex about eight seasons in.
Allie Quigley was mentioned above as well. Sometimes as your situation and opportunity changes, your development does too. Katie Lou is still on the younger side and on a team where she has a role that could potentially develop.

I just think it would be neat if people would stop hitting Bec in the chin.

I like to check the +/- stats and sometimes wonder how some of them are possible and those make me question the 100% accuracy of the +/- figures. Since this was only 91 seconds I figured I could see what happened. Brown was out for the 91 seconds in the 2nd quarter - leaving at 4:29 with the score 37-32 Sparks and coming back at 2:48 with the score 41-37 Liberty. Sparks went scoreless and the Liberty hit three 3's - Han Xu at 4:22, Marine Johannes at 3:56 and Natasha Howard at 2:59.
