Well, the wins against Indiana were fun but oof. Down 20 at the end of the first isn't fun. Do they have a run in them to get back in the game?

I loved Pam Ward throwing shade at Allstate Arena. ๐
When her co-host pointed out that she had never been to the previous arena, Pam said, "consider yourself lucky" - lol

Diana is playing some winded defense but it's still defense. Too bad the Merc can't seem to capitalize off these defensive plays.

If this is on anyone but 35 it will be par for the wnba officiating course.
Not only did she not get fouled but she instigated twice.

Skylar looking like an MVP.
What seed do they need to be for her to be in contention?

2.
Otherwise itโs just a fantastic individual season. Plum is essentially doing the same thing on the leagues best team.

Putting up big numbers does not make you an MVP....SDS put up big numbers when she played with Dallas.

Skylar, the invisible all-star.

Oof. Taurasi looks ... not pleased sitting on the bench.
How soon until Nygaard is fired? Will she even get a full season?

I am no Nygaard stan but the team has not been bad enough to justify an obvious fire. The most dominant player in the world who is still on payroll with a max contract is not here. Another starting guard is still out with an acl.
9-12 is actually decent given those circumstances. This is just an emotional season for the Mercury and any coach is set up for failure.
The reason we as fans keep watching is because you always hold out hope to win games. The players still go out there and work their ass off.
Thereโs just not many teams or coaches that would look good at all if their prime hall of famer was unavailable.

Diamond can put up numbers but she takes too many quick/Ill-advised shots......DD could easily avg 18+ ppg if she played with a higher offensive iq.
That being said, I think DD should be starting.

If she were playing like the DT of years past, she wouldn't be sitting on the bench.
